PH64127: CAN'T USE CEDA TO CHANGE CIPHERS VALUE ON A URIMAP DUE TO TERMINAL HAVING KATAKANA SET TO YES.

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Tried to use CEDA to change the CIPHERS value on a URIMAP to
  change the value from the Default Ciphers 3538392F3233 to
  allvalidciphers.xml.  This ends up returning the following to
  your screen.
  
  E CIPHERS VALUE HAS BEEN IGNORED BECAUSE IT CONTAINED AN INVALID
  'A'.
  
  And then it gets the default value of 3538392F3233 (v5.6) or
  defaultciphers.xml (v6.1 and above).  This is due to the
  Terminal being defined with Katakana set to YES.

  A CEDA user has set their terminal to KATAKANA and alters the
  CIPHERS attribute within the URIMAP to lowercase eg,
  allvalidciphers.xml. CICS is unable to translate the
  lowercase .xml due to the terminal setting and issues an error.
  

Problem conclusion

• DFHCUCAN has been changed to process the upper case xml field.
