APAR status

Error description

• This APAR includes fixes to various defects identified in CICS
  Explorer 5.5.0.
  

Local fix

Problem summary

• - The Java service level shipped with CICS Explorer
  (Java 11.0.23.0) should be updated to a later Fix Pack level.
  - Partial failures can occur within the Workload Rule editor.
  - With the Security Discovery perspective, icons are not
  available when there are User Interface warnings for generics
  and UAcc (Universal Access Authority).
  - The DbFunc JDBC driver can cause connection failures due to
  the latest driver requiring the use of an encrypted password or
  the need to be explicit if the user is not using encrypted
  passwords.
  - Security Discovery Data (SDD) is incorrectly being cached
  when errors occur.
  - Column Sorting in the tables in the Security Discovery Data
  Details panel does not work.
  
  Column sorting in the Security Discovery Data table does not
  work correctly.
  

Problem conclusion

• - The Java service level shipped with CICS Explorer has been
  updated to Java 11.0.24.1.
  - The Workload Rule editor has been updated to be more
  resilient to partial failures.
  - Icons are now available when there are User Interface
  warnings for generics and UAcc (Universal Access Authority) in
  relation to the Security Discovery perspective.
  - Updates have been made to set the security mechanism for db2
  to clear the username and password.
  - Security Discovery Data (SDD) is no longer being cached when
  errors occur.
  - Column sorting in the tables in the Security Discovery Data
  details panel now works.
  
  This fix will be made available in Version 5.5.39 (33.0.11) of
  the CICS Explorer.
