  • Daemon assert going off: index >= 0 && index <
    maxTcpConnsPerNodeConn in file llcomm_m.C resulting in a GPFS
    daemon shutdown.

Problem conclusion

  • This problem is fixed in 5.1.9.7

    Benefits of the solution:
    Fixed the code to make sure that RPCs or replies will only use a
    valid TCP connection.
    
    Work around:
    None.
    
    Problem trigger:
    When RDMA verbsSend is enabled and number of RDMA connections is
    larger than 16, if reconnect happens, could cause assert going
    off.
    
    Symptom:
    Abend/Crash
    
    Platforms affected:
    ALL Linux OS environments

    All Scale Users
