About IBM Application Modernization Accelerator

When you run IBM® Application Modernization Accelerator on your RHEL or Windows desktop, it analyzes your on-premises environments, including Java applications, queues, and databases. It identifies the complexity of your applications, estimates the development cost to modernize, and provides recommendations for the best target environment, including MoRE.

Started with Application Modernization Accelerator

  • Explore AMA’s full set of capabilities: review the supplied sample data and see real life modernisation tasks and analysis.
  • Gather data from your own environment (including Java applications, message queues, and databases), then import that data into AMA to start evaluating your estate. With this option, you cannot apply the modernization recommendations and autofixes to your applications.
  • Contact IBM Sales to unlock all capabilities and run a full end-to-end Proof of Concept on one of your business applications.

Prerequisites for running Application Modernization Accelerator

  • A RHEL, Windows or Mac environment
  • Docker or Podman
  • To collect application data from your own environment, run the Discovery tool in that environment
