    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    Under some unknown (and rare) conditions, IHS creates far more
    than the configured number of threads per process.
    It was later determined that the user had mixed binaries from
    different fix packs, specifically modules/mod_mpm_event.so and
    bin/httpd were from different fix packs which is unsupported
    In this case, instead of catastrophic failures, IHS never
    stopped creating worker threads at startup due to mismatched
    data structures.

Problem conclusion

  • Prior to determining the info in the problem summary, the code
    was updated with additional safeguards and logging to help
    identify and avoid the problem.
