Fixes to the following issues were delivered as part of the 6.3.12.1 Fixpack release:

| Defect 88559 |
Affected Domain:
Customers running 6.3.10 or higher that manage multiple DS8000 Global Mirror sessions which shared the same Consistency Group number.
NOTE: If Global Mirror sessions to NOT share the same consistency group number then the environment is not affected.
Description:
Scheduled Tasks designed to Suspend, create a Safeguarded copy backup and then restart a Global Mirror session may stop running if the tasks for multiple sessions run at the exact same time.
Mitigation:
Restarting the Copy Services Manager server will restart the scheduled tasks. Use the "Enable at time" or "Run at time" options to prevent running the task at the same time for multiple Global Mirror sessions that share the same consistency group number.

| Defect 88489 |
Affected Domain:
Customers running 6.3.10 or higher, using the older three site Metro Global Mirror or Metro Global Mirror with Practice session types with HyperSwap enabled.
NOTE: This does NOT affect customers using the Metro Mirror - Global Mirror 3 site sessions types or 4 site session types even if the session is running in a cascaded mode.
Description:
When a HyperSwap occurs by event, the session may hit an internal error that prevents the code from correctly processing the HyperSwap event. If the event is not correctly processed, the session may not setup the correct bitmapping necessary at the third site to prevent a full copy when restarting the session after the HyperSwap.
Mitigation:
There is no mitigation. It is highly recommended that if you are running at the affected level of code, you upgrade to this 6.3.12.1 fixpack.

| Defect 88420 |
Affected Domain:
Customers running sessions using DS8000 Global Mirror.
Description:
There have been cases where a disconnect event between DS8000 and the Copy Services Manager server, has resulted in marking the Global Mirror FlashCopy journal relationships, or FlashCopy practice relationships as Defined. The query to the hardware due to the disconnect, results in an invalid state leading the session to incorrectly mark the pair states.
This Fixpack adds support to allow a customer to issue the Refresh States command on a Global Mirror based session, causing the session to "discover" any existing FlashCopy relationships on the hardware, preventing the need to restart the session.
Mitigation:
The condition results in an incorrect reporting of the state on the session, but does NOT affect the Global Mirror sessions ability to form consistency groups, nor does it prevent the ability to issue a successful Recover to the session.
Prior to this FixPack a customer would need to issue another Start command to the session, which would cause CSM to reflash the incorrectly marked pairs.

Upgrades
This refresh pack is a full version of IBM Copy Services Manager. The refresh pack media does not include the enablement files. If installing without the enablement files, the install will be done with an Evaluation license agreement and the enablement files will need to be applied later for full functionality of the product.

CLI ONLY Installations
The following images are available to install a Remote version of the IBM Copy Services Manager CLI. Download the package pertaining the platform you wish to install the CLI on, NOT the platform that the IBM Copy Services Manager is running on.
NOTE: The installer now allows you to install only the CLI for Distributed platforms. The archive images for the CLI will no longer be available for Distributed servers. Launch the CSM installer and choose the CLI only option to install the CLI.
