This is a maintenance release. This release includes new features and enhancements and addresses fixes for internally found defects.

Problems Solved

The following issues have been fixed in DevOps Plan 3.0.1:
  • Upon accepting an invitation, the application is not being listed for the invited user. The user instead sees an error message that says “You don’t have permission to access the applications.” To workaround the issue, remove the user and add the user again.
  • When migrating users from Compass to DevOps Plan, users with a long name and email address may see text overlap into another text box when viewing the user in the “User Management” section of the UI. There is no workaround for this issue.
  • When validating an IBM WatsonX AI integration, you may encounter an error that states “Type Error parsed.Error.Data.error is undefined.” It appears validation has failed. If you encounter this error, close the error. The AI assistant should be working as expected.
  • When creating or modifying a record, if you upload an attachment and then click on the ellipses on the attachment and select Delete, the attachment fails to be removed. To work around the issue, save the record after modifying it and then add or delete the attachment.
  • When clicking on Integrations in the Configurations menu item, if you are using Firefox, you may encounter a Server not Found error. To work around the issue, launch the Analytics URL in a new tab of the browser, then refresh the Integrations page in the UI. The Analytics URL can be found in the analtics.restserver.url= property in the application.properties file.
  • Test Management applications do not have dashboards and the approvals feature available.
  • The Defect/ALM and Custom applications will not have the EmailPlus package available out of the box. It must be manually applied through the Designer.
  • If a user is onboarded mistakenly, the user can only have the Creator role assigned. The user cannot be downgraded to a User role.
  • To retrieve all ALM records, you must manually create an ALMAdmin record.
  • The SYSADMIN user must have all applications and team spaces listed under Tenant Management of other tenants in DevOps Plan.
  • The Modify profile section will display firstname/lastname for an onboarded user. If the user was added by a Tenant admin or Tenant owner will not have a lastname listed under the Modify profile section. Users can update firstname/lastname under the Modify Profile section.
  • When using the import connections tool, the following groups are not created automatically and must be created in the User Administration Tool.
    • EmailPlus Agent
    • EmailPlus Admins
    • SCMIntegrationsAdmins
    • EMAIL_AGENT: The EMAIL_AGENT user must be a member of the EmailPlusAgent and the EmailPlusAdmins group
    • SCMIntegrationUser

Known Side Effects

The following known issues apply to the DevOps Plan 3.0.1 release:
  • When cloning an EmailPlusRule record, the user may see “An error occurred”. To work around the issue, instead of cloning a record, create a new record.
  • When cloning and exporting alerts, the Automation tab is not being cloned or exported to JSON. There is no work around for this issue.
  • DevOps Plan 3.0.1 is not fully translated into French. Various elements of the product may not appear in French, even if your language is switched to French.
  • Complex queries using the parent field as a dynamic filter may result in delayed response during query execution.
  • When configuring the EmailPlus package for the @mention feature, If a schema has two or more record types with separate EmailPlus rules and templates for each, only the temple specified in the Mention Template Name for the selected record type will send a Mention notification. Other record types will not trigger a Mention notification when the Mention feature is used from those other record types. There is no workaround for this issue.
  • When a user creates an account without an invitation link, the user can still be invited to an existing tenant. However, these users also can create a tenant of their own. When a tenant is deleted, these users retain the option to create a new tenant. To work around the issue, if the previous tenant has been deleted, the user must either create a new tenant or wait to be invited to a tenant by another user.
  • When using the ITSM application, the parent-child cloning of a record is not working as expected for requests, incidents, problems, and service requests.
  • In some instances, during Login, clicking Let’s Go results in a delay or screen flicker. To resolve the issue, refresh the browser.
  • In the Sales Business Flow, the Parent/Child relationship is not represented correctly in the Opportunity record. The Child item shows its Parent in the Children tab whereas the Parent item does not show the child items the Children tab.
  • In the Sales Business Flow, adding child relationships to an Opportunity record prevents the record from being displayed in Swimlanes. There is no workaround.
  • In the Sales Business Flow, creating a duplicate contact results in an error message without a detailed message.
  • When a user deletes an entire folder from one of the Personal or Public queries, and then later finds and selects a query from a deleted folder in Created by Me, an error is displayed. The error does not indicate that the query no longer exists, even though the query is deleted. To avoid this error, a user can remove all queries from a folder before removing the parent folder.
  • When cloning a record, the cloned record does not display in the user activity log.
  • When in record view, when a user tries to create and save any entity record and then reload the created entity results in a blank page. To work around the issue, refresh the browser.
  • Cloned records do not display in the Applications Created by Me tab. When cloning a record, the new record number can be viewed in the success popup window.
  • When a user is inactive for 30 minutes or more and they try to navigate to a new application from their applications list by clicking the "Let's go" button they may be logged out due to a session timeout issue. The user will need to sign back in and then click the "Let's go" button again to navigate to the desired application.
  • When creating an Onboarding record, the date 24-hour time selector escapes its boundary in the Last Modified By and OnBoarded On fields. The time selection may appear outside of the boundary, but the time selection is being recorded.
  • When using the Solution Safe Schema and using AI to create children in an iteration record, you may encounter an error. To work around the issue, records can be created manually and associated to its parent record.
  • When in record view, when a user deletes the Project record, it the next project is not being loaded. Instead, a blank screen is displayed. To work around the issue, refresh the browser.
  • When a user does not have the "All Users/Groups Visible" privilege assigned to them they will not be able to view any users within the application. This can cause issues such as incorrect data being returned in a query where a user is being used as a field or a filter. This will also impact the Approvals feature. Users will not be able to view any approval data where another user is a requester or reviewer when they do not have the "All Users/Groups Visible" privilege assigned to them. To work around this issue, assign this privilege to the user when initially adding them to an application or have a user administrator edit the user's privileges to include the "All Users/Groups Visible" privilege.
  • The Close button does not work for the popup window while creating Custom boards, Gantt Charts, or Custom Timelines. The Cancel button may be used to close the window.
  • A user cannot change a username after a failed attempt at signing up. To work around the issue, refresh the page to return the user to the screen where the email address is editable.
  • When using the Agile business flow and the user selects Agile > Releases Query from the sidebar, if a Release record includes http:// in the description field, the user may see a 500 error. To work around the issue, remove http:// from the Release record Description field, or use the All Releases query in Public Queries > Agile instead of the Agile > Releases Query.
  • In the HRM Business Flow when a user tries to approve an approval record when using the Approvals feature, an error may occur retrieving the approval data after the approval record has been approved. To work around this issue, close the error dialog box and try refreshing the approvals data by using the refresh button under the filters section. If the problem persists, try refreshing the page or logging out and then logging back in.
  • When using Kanban boards, the Hide empty columns toggle is not working for the Active records column.
