The IBM Storage Ready Nodes are optimized hardware and software configurations maintained and supported by IBM. The IBM Storage Ready Nodes provide companies with a simple, flexible, and cost-effective way to deploy IBM storage software on purpose-built servers.
They’re designed to streamline the entire storage consumption experience, with IBM taking responsibility for maintenance and support and offering optional services for hardware and software installation.
The IBM Ready Nodes are engineered to be compatible with the IBM Defender Data Protect cluster. They are designed to be simple all the way, from initial purchase and deployment.

Where to acquire firmware updates
To get drivers and downloads for your Dell PowerEdge systems go to the DELL support page. Search for the PowerEdge model and in the drivers & downloads menu download and install the latest drivers, firmware and software.

Configuring iDrac and IPMI
Integrated Dell Remote Access Controller (iDRAC) is Dell's implementation of Intelligent Platform Management Interface (IPMI). IPMI is a standard for controlling intelligent devices that monitor a system. It is helpful for dynamic discovery of sensors in the system, the ability to monitor the sensors, and be informed when the sensor's values change or go outside certain boundaries.
