Troubleshooting
Problem
When you intend to delete a user in QRadar, the system prevents deletion if there are associated dependents, such as reports, dashboards, or custom event properties (CEP) created by that user. The system mandates that all dependents be reassigned or removed before you proceed with the deletion. You can find more information on this process in the IBM Documentation: Deleting User Account in QRadar and Reassigning Dependents.
A common issue arises when you attempt to reassign CEPs during the user deletion process: the system fails to reassign the custom event properties (CEP) to another user.
