QRadar SOAR: Inbound Email credential related error message when connecting to EWS endpoint

Troubleshooting


Problem

The credentials used by Inbound Email are incorrect although the same credentials work when using OWA (Outlook on the web / Outlook Web Access).

Symptom

After entering credentials the error, "the credentials provided for the email server 'xxx' are invalid. Enter valid credentials and try again" are returned to the UI.
The /var/log/resilient-email/resilient-email.log will show that the EWS endpoint returns an HTTP 401.
