APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Analytics REST API using Names of org/catalog/space return
different values with Analytics dashboard UI for the same scope
due to incorrectly using the names to filter on
org/catalog/space queries

Local fix

  • Using IDs of org/catalog/space instead of Names in the Analytics
REST API query

Problem summary

  • Analytics was incorrectly doing substring matching on the org
and catalog path parameters when querying for data rather than
full explicit string matching. This meant that in some
circumstances incorrect data was returned.
This has been fixed to do full string matching which resolves
the problem.

A workaround is to use org and catalog ids instead of names when
searching.

Problem conclusion

  • Fix targeted at APIC 10.0.5.8 and 10.0.8.1
