Abstract

This interim fix addresses APAR, security fixes, and internally found issues since the release of IBM Tivoli Business Service Manager 6.2.0.5 Interim Fix 4 release.

Download Description

* Fixes that are included in interim fix 5.
    - DT387755 IJ50343: ERROR INVALIDATING RESOURCES IN THE TBSM DATA SERVER
    - TBSM-23: update Impact jars in TBSM --> to FP34
    - DT394949 DT387759 IJ49192: UPGRADE TO THE LATEST IBM SDK 8
    * Security-related items:
    - DT391602: Bypass Client-Side Validation in Tivoli Business Service Manager
    - DT391605: Upgrade PrototypeJS in Tivoli Business Service Manager
    - DT393246: UPGRADE TO LATEST DB2 JDBC DRIVER IN TBSM620
         The DB2 driver level and version to be applied by this interim fix is as below:
         Driver version  4.33.32
         This interim fix replaces the old "db2jcc4.jar" with the new "db2jcc4.jar" 
         (With one exception, the new DB2 driver is using the name "db2jcc.jar" 
         under the crviewer directory, tbsm/XMLtoolkit/tools/crviewer/lib )
         If you upgraded the DB2 driver for any reason and its file is not named 
        "db2jcc4.jar", (with one exception, the DB2 driver is using the name
        "db2jcc.jar" under the crviewer directory, tbsm/XMLtoolkit/tools/crviewer/lib), 
         this interim fix might not be applied successfully for the DB2 driver.
    * List of Impact APARs that have documentation updates or have additional information:
    
    - DT387758 DT387764 IJ50864 IJ50956: TBSMSHELL COMMAND DOES NOT WORK POLICY WITH THE FOLLOW  COMMANDOUT = TBSMShell('dumpInstanceInfo("dummy")')
    - DT391604: Abuse of Functionality in Tivoli Business Service Manage

Prerequisites

       * Prerequisites:
          This interim fix requires Tivoli Business Service Manager 6.2.0 FP5 to be already installed on the systems. As well as:
              Tivoli Business Service Manager: 6.2.0.5-TIV-BSM-IF0004
              Impact: 7.1.0 FP34
             JazzSM: 1.1.3 FP20
       * Special considerations:
           1) Stop the Impact backend and DASH/JazzSM servers and then apply this interim fix.
           2) Clear the browser cache after the interim fix is applied to the dashboard server.

Installation Instructions

    Installation, migration, upgrade, and configuration information:
    ---------------------------------------------------------------
       * Hardware and software requirements:
          Refer to the Tivoli Business Service Manager 6.2.0 Release Notes for a full description of all the hardware and software requirements.
          To apply this interim fix, you need approximately 900 Mb of free disk space.

       * Dependencies:
          This interim fix must be installed on each server that has the Tivoli Business Service Manager GUI (DASH/JazzSM), Data, and Database server installed.
    
       * Prerequisites:
          This interim fix requires Tivoli Business Service Manager 6.2.0 FP5 to be already installed on the systems. As well as:
            Tivoli Business Service Manager: 6.2.0.5-TIV-BSM-IF0004 
            Impact: 7.1.0 FP34
            JazzSM: 1.1.3 FP20
       * Special considerations:
       1) Stop the Impact backend and DASH/JazzSM servers and then apply this interim fix.
       2) Clear the browser cache after the interim fix is applied to the dashboard server.

       * Extracting this interim fix: Windows and Non-Windows
           - Extract the file on each server that you need to install on.
             6.2.0.5-TIV-BSM-IF0005.zip
      
       * Installation script usage:
        On the Tivoli Business Service Manager Data Server:
           ./install_IF.sh|bat impact_home tbsm_home
           impact_home is the directory where Impact is installed
           tbsm_home is the directory where Tivoli Business Service Manager is installed
           Example:  ./install_IF.sh /opt/IBM/tivoli/impact /opt/IBM/tivoli/tbsm

        On the Tivoli Business Service Manager Dashboard Server
           ./install_IF.sh|bat jazzsm_home tbsmdash_home
             jazzsm_home is the directory where JazzSM is installed
             tbsmdash_home is the directory where Tivoli Business Service Manager Dashboard is installed
           Example:  ./install_IF.sh /opt/IBM/JazzSM /opt/IBM/tivoli/tbsmdash
        On the Tivoli Business Service Manager Db2 server:
           ./install_IF.sh db2 tbsm_db2_home
           db2 specifies the installation on the Tivoli Business Service Manager Db2 server.
           tbsm_db2_home is the directory where the Tivoli Business Service Manager Db2 config is installed.
           Example:  ./install_IF.sh db2 /home/db2inst1/tbsmdb
        NOTE: The same applies to the uninstall_IF.* scripts!
      All Impact Backend Servers
       ==========================
        1.) Stop both the Impact backend server and GUI
        2.) Open a command prompt and change to the directory where the files were extracted
        3.) To install interim fix 5:
            Run the install_IF.sh or install_IF.bat script
           Example:  ./install_IF.sh /opt/IBM/tivoli/impact /opt/IBM/tivoli/tbsm
        4.) If prompted, create a backup.properties with the location of the backup directory.
        5.) Start both the Impact backend server and GUI

       All DASH/JazzSM servers
       =======================
         1.) Stop the DASH/JazzSM Server
         2.) Open a command prompt and change to the directory where the files were extracted
         3.) To install interim fix 5:
             Run the install_IF.sh or install_IF.bat script
           Example:  ./install_IF.sh /opt/IBM/JazzSM /opt/IBM/tivoli/tbsmdash
         4.) If prompted, create a backup.properties with the location of the backup directory.
         5.) Start the DASH/JazzSM Server

       All Tivoli Business Service Manager Db2 servers
       =======================
         1.) Using the ID that installed the Tivoli Business Service Manager db (for example db2inst1)
             Open a command prompt and change to the directory where the files were extracted
         2.) To install interim fix 5:
             Run the install_IF.sh or install_IF.bat script
        Example:  ./install_IF.sh db2 /home/db2inst1/tbsmdb
