Summary
IBM Storage Insights can be launched from a tile under My Products in the My IBM Dashboard. If you have more than one instance of IBM Storage Insights, you can assign an alias to help differentiate them in the dashboard. The alias will appear below the product name in the dashboard for all users of the subscription.
Objective
Create unique alias names to help identify different instances of the same application. See examples below.

Steps
- Open My IBM Dashboard in a browser and log in.
- Click Manage from within one of the tiles for IBM Storage Insights.
- Click Assign alias from the left hand column.
- Enter an Alias name on the right and click Save.
- Go back to the My IBM Dashboard and observe that the new alias is visible.
- Repeat the process for any other instances of IBM Storage Insights.
Note: Your IBMID must have administrator role for that particular subscription to get the option to assign an alias. Monitor role users cannot assign an alias.
