Prerequisites
Rational Directory Server 5.1.1.2 (Apache) or Rational Directory Server 5.2.1 (Tivoli) |
A supported application server (or use the bundled one) on the server machine. |
A supported browser on each of the client machines. |
Installation Instructions
- Log in to the machine where Rational Change is installed as the user who installed Rational Change.
- Unzip (Windows) or untar (UNIX) the patch file into <CHANGE_APP_HOME>/WEB-INF/packages. The resultant directory will have the name rc<patch version>.
For example, on UNIX:
$ cd <CHANGE_APP_HOME>/WEB-INF/packages
$ tar xvf <file path> - Install the Fix Pack:
Login to Rational Change Admin interface and click the System Administration link in the action panel.
Click the Package Installer tab, select this Fix Pack from the Available Packages list box, and click the Install button. - After the patch installation is successful, stop and re-start Rational Change.
- To upgrade Jetty version 9.4.55 in Rational Change, refer the document "How_to_upgrade_Jetty.zip".
- To Configure Log4j2 in Rational Change ,refer the document “Log4j2_Configure.zip”.
- A Perl upgrade was delivered in Fix Pack 5.3.2.4. If the Perl upgrade has not yet been installed then download Perl_upgrade_5.16.1.zip and apply the Perl upgrade with Fix Pack 5.3.2.6.Download the Perl upgrade and installation instructions here: https://ak-delivery04-mul.dhe.ibm.com/sar/CMA/RAA/0a5vc/1/Perl_upgrade_5.16.1.zip

- CR Specific Help on Change user page.
- Login to Rational Change as Admin and click the System Administration link in the action panel.
- Uninstall the Fix Pack:
Click the Package Installer tab, select the Fix Pack from the Installed Packages list box, and click the Uninstall button. - If you are reverting the installation to 5.3.2 or 5.3.2.1, you must configure Rational Change to use RDS for authentication.
Example:
If LDAP is configured in the file ../WEB-INF/wsconfig/pt.cfg, then update value to false.
[CCM_SYSTEM] [LDAP_ENABLED] false[/LDAP_ENABLED] [/CCM_SYSTEM] - Stop and start Rational Change.

Dynamic required attribute
The dynamic required attributes feature allows users to mark some of the attributes to be required dynamically when a particular value is selected for another attribute.
Treating numeric fields as integers
Treating numeric fields as integers allows CCM_NUMBER attribute types to be set as integers. They can hold only integer values and users can query on them using mathematical operators. This can be used for queries which need to filter and sort based on criteria.

Database specific Home Pages allows the users to manage their home page content that is relevant to the database that they log in to.

Below are some of the new Prerequisite:
- Obtain the required licenses.
- JRE 1.8 should be installed and it should be in the system path.
- By default, Rational Change is installed in English.
- To install the software in a language other than English:
- From IBM Fix Central, download one of the available language packages (a.zip file).
- Copy the file to the change\windows directory.
- Ensure that you have set the system locale to support the language package installation. If the system locale is not set, the dialog boxes might not show the proper characters.
- Obtain the required licenses.
- JRE 1.8 should be installed.
- By default, Rational Change is installed in English. To install the software in a language other than English:
