SupportPac CA1B: CICS Interdependency Analyzer for z/OS web application

Download

Abstract

SupportPac CA1B is a web-based application designed to support IBM CICS Interdependency Analyzer for z/OS (CICS IA).

Download Description

IBM CICS Interdependency Analyzer for z/OS (CICS IA) produces runtime data collected from a CICS application. The CICS IA web application plug-in (also referred to as the CICS IA web client) visualizes that data in a form that is meaningful to the user.

Integration of the runtime data with other tools can be difficult to achieve, where users must accept whatever views and reports CICS IA provides by default.

The CICS IA web application provides a comprehensive framework ensuring high performance, maintainability, and ease of use with a rich user interface by utilizing the CICS IA REST API endpoints, enabling easy integration.

Benefits

  • User-friendly interface providing a seamless user experience that is both intuitive and responsive.
  • High performance.
  • Simplified generation of complex reports, visualized using interactive charts and graphs for Threadsafe and Affinity data.
  • Visualization of User Command Flow execution sorted by User ID.
  • Does not require any client installation, provided the pre-requisites (see below) are met.

Skill level required

  • A basic understanding of CICS IA and the runtime data that it collects.
  • A basic understanding of IBM WebSphere Application Server Liberty Profile (WLP), the important configuration files, and how to configure WLP with the CICS IA web application.
