Error description

  • After investigation of this problem, it appears there are two
copies of the queue, where we suspect that the MQSH has been
overwritten. The abend occurred during shared queue close
processing where we expected that the STRB and SQVT control
blocks should have been orphaned following us losing connection
to the structure, however this orphan processing didn't appear
to have been driven in its entirety, ultimately resulting in
the abend following a consistency check.

Unfortunately we have been unable to identify the root cause of
this problem, although we suspect that the MQSH being
overwritten is likely to have caused this behaviour. However,
we cannot see the MQSH being overwritten in the dump. For this
reason, we would like to investigate how we could improve our
diagnostics in this area to help us identify this problem at
the time closer to which the MQSH may have been overwritten if
it occurs again in the future.

Two copies of the same queue exist leading to CSQECLOS abending
with 5C6-00C5101D and a follow on 5C6-00C510AD as part of a
consistency check. As the initial abend was on a structure
    task the Queue Manager terminates.

The reason for the existence of the duplicate queue is currently
    unknown.

Problem conclusion

  • New diagnostic code has been added to capture additional
documentation to aid in the diagnosis of understanding why the
duplicate queue exists. By default this new diagnostic code is
disabled, please contact IBM support to enable it.
