Problem conclusion
This problem is fixed in 5.1.9.5 To see all Spectrum Scale APARs and their respective Fix solutions refer to page: https://public.dhe.ibm.com/storage/spectrumscale/spectrum_scale _apars.html Benefits of the solution: Fixed the code so the race condition and daemon crash are avoided. Work Around: - Avoid settings ACLs to inodes Problem trigger: - Setting ACLs while node recovery or a disk error happens. Node recovery or disk error invalidates the internal cached ACL data so there is a small window when setting ACLs during this time can cause unassigned memory access. Symptom: Abend/Crash Platforms affected: All Operation System environments Functional Area affected: All Scale Users Customer Impact: Critical
