Error description

  • You are running CICS Transaction server 6.1 and apply
maintenance to CICS including PTF UI97096 for APAR
PH60354. When you recycle the region, you receive the
    following errors:

DFHXM0002 A severe error (code X'0307') has occurred in
            module DFHXMRP.
    The XM0002 occurs multiple times.

DFHDM0105 Unsuccessful initialization of DFHXM domain.
            CICS will terminate.

The 0307 error code is issued when trying to add a
transaction recovered from the catalog, and this fails.
It fails trying to restore a protected transaction-
    XMXD_TRANDEF_PROTECTED.
The XM0002 is occurring due to trying to replace transaction
CATR and it is marked not replaceable.
That APAR moved the hard-coded definition of "category 3"
transactions to be earlier in CICS startup, before
transaction definitions are restored from the catalog.

    Additional symptoms: KIXREVVG

CICS has been running with the DFHCOMPJ Compatibility group.
The region is restarted with a WARM start.

    definitions from the CICS catalog.
Conflict between the DFHCOMPJ transaction definitions and
definitions provided by the XM domain cause messages
    .
DFHXM0002 A severe error (code X'0307') has occurred in module
    DFHXMRP.
    .
DFHDM0105 Unsuccessful initialization of DFHXM domain.
    CICS will terminate..
    .
    CICS initialization fails.

    Additional Keywords: CATR CAT3

Problem conclusion

  • UI97096
CICS Transaction Manager (XM) domain initialization
sequence has been modified to resolve the transaction
    definition conflict.
