IT46483: RERUNNING A PARTIALLY COMPLETED BACKUP JOB IS NOT WORKING AS EXPECTED

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• If VM backup job on IBM Storage Protect Plus is partially
  completed and the option to rerun the job is used, it is
  finishing within seconds and is posting status COMPLETED. During
  the rerun of the policy none of the failing VMs are backed up.
  
  The job log is showing the following sequence of the rerun job:

Problem conclusion

• In IBM Spectrum Protect Plus 10.1.4 and later, the policy option
  'Run inventory before backup' is present. However, the rerun of
  partial backup jobs was not functioning properly with this
  option enabled. Fix has been added in IBM Spectrum Protect Plus
  10.1.16.3 and rerun will perform the expected tasks with the
  policy option enabled.
