PH62296: 0C4 IN MODULE DFHZATA PROCESSING CICS CONSOLE COMMAND WITHOUT CONSOLE MODELS. 24/07/26 PTF PECHANGE

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• A user enters a MVS console command to a CICS region,
  for example:
    MODIFY CICSJOB,CEMT INQUIRE TASK
    or
    F CICSJOB,CEMT INQUIRE TASK
  but the CICS region does not have any console models defined.
  CICS issues message:
  DFHZC6902 Autoinstall failed because no console models are
  defined.
  .
  CICS then suffers an 0C4 in module DFHZATA (CSECT DFHZATA2)
  when trying to set flag TCTEATTP in a TCTTE using a null
  pointer.
  

Local fix

• Install RDO group DFHTERMC, which will define a console model.

Problem conclusion

• UI97445
  Code added by the referenced PTF has been modified to check
  for a null pointer before setting flag TCTEATTP off.
