Abstract
IBM Sterling B2B Integrator and IBM Sterling File Gateway will be deprecating FIPS 140-2 support by Q2 2025. FIPS 140-2 support will be replaced by FIPS 140-3 support in Q2 2025.

IBM Sterling B2B Integrator and IBM Sterling File Gateway will add support for FIPS 140-3 by the end of Q2 2025 through the adoption of IBM Java 17, which natively supports FIPS 140-3 cryptographic libraries. Consequently, Sterling B2B Integrator and Sterling File Gateway will no longer support FIPS 140-2 by the end Q2 2025.
Clients are strongly encouraged to refresh their keys and encryption configuration settings at all endpoints requiring compliance with FIPS 140-3 standards.
