Abstract
Planning Analytics for Microsoft Excel 2.0.97 and 2.1.4 have been removed from IBM Fix Central and are no longer available for download from Planning Analytics Administration in Planning Analytics on Cloud.
IBM has become aware of an issue that results when an action button is edited in IBM Planning Analytics for Microsoft Excel versions 2.0.97 and 2.1.4. The issue is only present when the action button connection to the TM1 Server is determined by a cell reference as show in the following screenshot.
Upon definition the action button works as defined. However, when a user attempts to edit the action button configuration, parameters including the process name and process parameter values will appear blank.
IBM recommends that all Planning Analytics users remove the IBM_PAfE_x64_2.0.97.xll, IBM_PAfE_x86_2.0.97.xll, IBM_PAfE_x64_2.1.4.xll, IBM_PAfE_x86_2.1.4.xll files from their systems. Planning Analytics users should continue to use Planning Analytics for Microsoft Excel 2.0.95 or 2.1.2 until a updated release becomes available.
The next release of Planning Analytics for Excel will be made available on IBM Fix Central for Planning Analytics on-premises customers and Planning Analytics Administration for Planning Analytics on Cloud customers. The next release of Planning Analytics for Microsoft Excel will include an updated digital certificate to address the certificate expiry message.
Update (17 July 2024): IBM Planning Analytics for Microsoft Excel 2.0.95.1 is available on IBM Fix Central for Planning Analytics on-premises customers and available for download from Planning Analytics Administration for Planning Analytics on Cloud customers.
