Abstract

With APAR PJ46819, an issue with transaction scope processing for 64-bit IBM MQ queues can leave the queue in an inconsistent state and lead to unpredictable results. Apply APAR PJ48051 to resolve the issue.

With APAR PJ46819 applied, numerous system errors and unpredictable results can occur when a transaction scope commit or rollback is processed after a 64-bit IBM MQ queue is manipulated. The problem occurs when the z/TPF system inadvertently interrogates storage in low core, and can leave the 64-bit IBM MQ queue in an inconsistent state. In some cases, an IPL is required to recover from the situation. This problem does not affect 31-bit IBM MQ queues.

Apply APAR PJ48051 to resolve this issue.
