Additional notes and updates for WebQuery 2.4.0 Summary of New Features
Content
Problem: Run Web Query Report (RUNWQFEX) may result in a
QWQ0038 - Could not connect to the Web Query web service. The return code is 104.This may occur if (1) Web Query is configured to use default java 11,
(2) TLS security is enabled for the Web Query HTTP server, and
(3) the following Java Group PTF level is applied:
IBM i 7.4 - SF99665 Level 23
IBM i 7.5 - SF99955 Level 10
Workaround: Edit the file
/QOpenSys/QIBM/ProdData/JavaVM/jdk11/64bit/conf/security/java.security
to add this line:
security.provider.13=com.ibm.i5os.jsse.JSSEProvider
Problem: Web Query 2.4.0 Group PTF Level 4 introduces a change in behavior for the Default Autoprompt Template, which defines the layout of the autoprompt interface.
The legacy Responsive and HTML templates are no longer supported, hence the default template is changed to Designer.
A key difference between Designer and Responsive is the handling of All values for a multi-select prompt; for Responsive, the prompt value defaulted to All, but for Designer, the user must make a selection. For more information on the setting, see Administering IBM Db2 Web Query for i in the Db2 Web Query 2.4.0 product manual.
Workaround: None.
Problem: Beginning with Web Query 2.4.0 Group PTF Level 3, creating or editing a Visualization using Designer fails with a java.lang.NullPointerException error.
The problem occurs on systems where the reporting server is configured for some non-U.S. code pages, such as German, Japanese, Italian, French, Greek, Swedish and Turkish.
Workaround: Create the report using InfoAssist.
