PH61877: BUILD CLIENT STOPS UNEXPECTEDLY DURING PROJECT CREATION IF REPOSITORY DB IS REMOTE DB2 LUW AND INCORRECT CLIENT DRIVER INSTALLED

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Creating an new project using Build Client, if remote Db2 LUW is
  set as repository database for project, and incorrect Db2 driver
  is installed locally on Build Client machine, then project
  creation may stop after creating virtual folders, but before
  project is completely created.  No specific error messages or
  logging are produced when this occurs.  In the ADDI
  Configuration Service Dashboard, the Test Connection button for
  the Db2 LUW definition is successful even when the project
  creation fails.
  

Local fix

• Verify that the correct client driver is installed.  For
  instance, if Data Server Driver package is installed instead of
  Data Server Client package, do the following:
  1. Remove IBM Data Server Driver Package from the Build Client
  machine.
  2. Download the Data Server Client package by navigating to e.g.
   https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/node/7071342  and expanding
  Windows 64-bit,x86... and then under the Clients section, select
  IBM Data Server Client,  which will direct you to IBM Fix
  Central to download the correct Data Server Client package,
  which may be named something like
  DSClients-ntx64-client-11.5.9000.xxxxxx .
  

Problem summary

• ADDI Build Client would shutdown due to an incorrect version of
  IBM Data server client installed with ADDI.

  ADDI
