Troubleshooting
Problem
When installing IBM System Automation for z/OS V4R1, I have experienced issues with the APPLY CHECK step.
The reports indicate ERROR HOLDs for ++APARs fixes AA54882 and AA55018 (associated with APARs OA54882 and OA55018).
Reviewing the APARs , I see that HIPER APAR OA54882 is fixed by PTF UA95311 and HIPER APAR OA55018 is fixed by PTF UA95433.
Also, PTF UA95311 is superseded by PTF UA95433.
Both UA95311 and UA95433 have been received.
In order to get the APPLY CHECK to complete with a RC=4 instead of RC=12, I selected BYPASS(HOLDFIXCAT).
Symptom
When including all HIPER maintenance during a new install of System Automation for z/OS 4.1, the following messages may be issued:
GIM35901I ERROR HOLD AA52307 WAS NOT RESOLVED.
GIM35901I ERROR HOLD AA52473 WAS NOT RESOLVED.
GIM35901I ERROR HOLD AA54882 WAS NOT RESOLVED.
GIM35901I ERROR HOLD AA55018 WAS NOT RESOLVED.

can be used safely to overcome the errors.
