Why does 'ntpq -p' hang and fail when there are many interfaces configured?
Cause
On systems with hundreds of interfaces or IPs, running 'ntpq -p' may fail.
Answer
Add the following entries to ntp.conf file:
interface listen wildcard
interface listen all
Restart xntpd to effect the change and try ntpq command again to check if it works.
