  HIPER MCL released for 2064 machines

Description

Prior to the concurrent activation of the CUoD
(Capacity Upgrade on Demand) and CBU (Capacity Backup)
features it is critical that MCL045 in the SE-I390/PU ML LIC
EC Stream H25110 is installed and activated. For CBU, this
includes the "temporary" and "test" modes. This MCL corrects
a system checkstop condition which can result during the
concurrent CUoD and CBU functions.

This MCL has been reclassified as HIPER.

These functions are performed by using the "SE-CPC
Configuration"> "Perform Model Conversion" panel options:

* PU Diskette Upgrade
* Temporary Upgrade Using CBU Feature via Password Panel
* Temporary Upgrade Using CBU Feature via IBM Service
Support System
* Test Capacity Backup (CBU) Feature via Password Panel
* Test Capacity Backup (CBU) Feature via IBM Service Support

Recommended Action

IBM recommends that these MCLs be installed as soon as a window can be obtained.
