Error description

  • Linux s390x is a 64bit architecture for zSeries. Running an
ACSLS library on Linux s390x requires therefore the 64bit ACSLS
library daemon files (ssi, mini_el and others) as well.
However, currently these daemon files shipped with the IBM
Spectrum Protect device driver package are in 32bit mode.
To verify the bit mode of these daemon files, the file command
    can be used.

Here the info from the current device driver package:

    file /opt/tivoli/tsm/devices/bin/ssi
/opt/tivoli/tsm/devices/bin/ssi: ELF 32-bit MSB executable, IBM
S/390, version 1 (SYSV), dynamically linked (uses shared libs),
    for GNU/Linux 2.2.10, not stripped
    file /opt/tivoli/tsm/devices/bin/mini_el
    /opt/tivoli/tsm/devices/bin/mini_el: ELF 32-bit MSB executable,
IBM S/390, version 1 (SYSV), dynamically linked (uses shared
libs), for GNU/Linux 2.2.10, not stripped
    file /opt/tivoli/tsm/devices/bin/t_parent
    /opt/tivoli/tsm/devices/bin/t_parent: ELF 32-bit MSB executable,
IBM S/390, version 1 (SYSV), dynamically linked (uses shared
libs), for GNU/Linux 2.2.10, not stripped

    IBM Spectrum Protect Versions Affected:

All IBM Spectrum Protect server versions on Linux s390x.

Additional Keywords: TSM, "Storage Protect", "Spectrum
    Protect", TS015835124, ACSLS
