Abstract
The IBM Storage Scale Cloud-kit command-Line interface (CLI) now supports “Multi-Filesystem” on AWS clusters as technology preview feature in Storage Scale 5.2.0.0 for evaluation, testing, and non-production purposes.

Description:
IBM Storage Scale can host multiple filesystem. Cloudkit during the initial deployment provisions multiple disks per storage instance, where each disk size per instance is calculated based on the opted filesystem capacity. The disk properties such as throughput and iops are calculated based on the opted deployment tuning profile.
IBM Storage Scale on AWS via cloudkit now provisions infrastructure (disks) to create multiple filesystems using the best recommended practices to obtain the maximum performance.

Getting started:
1.) Create an IBM Storage Scale “Storage-only“ cluster on the AWS, using the following command;
./cloudkit create cluster --deployment-mode "Storage-only"
2.) Create secondary/multiple filesystem(s) to the IBM Storage Scale cluster on the AWS, using the following command;
./cloudkit create filesystem
The filesystems created using this command will be enabled to be used for remote mount / grant relationships, caching (AFM-COS) and fleet.
Limitations:
1.) Multiple filesystems cannot be created in tuning profile “Throughput-Performance-Scratch-Storage”.
2.) The disk type cannot be changed in tuning profile “Throughput-Performance-Persistent-Storage“.
3.) Pools created in secondary filesystems will be “dataAndMetadata” and is not configurable via cloudkit.
