How to Reinstall the Windows MaaS360 Agent

Summary

Users can accidentally remove the MaaS360 Agent from their Devices. On Windows, blocking the uninstall is not currently possible. Removing the MaaS360 Agent will prevent access to MaaS360 Settings and the MaaS360 App Catalog.
Reinstallation of the MaaS360 Agent is only possible for the enrolled and managed user.

Steps

  1. Confirm the Device is enrolled.
    1. Click Start.
    2. Search "Access Work or School" and click Enter.
    3. Verify that the connected MaaS360 MDM is present.

  2. Verify that the User signed in is the Managed MaaS360 User. MaaS360 can only manage one User, which will be the Local Admin account used to enroll the machine. 
    1. Click Start.
    2. Search "Registry Editor" and press Enter.
    3. Check if the following Key is present: HKEY_CURRENT_USER > SOFTWARE > Microsoft > EnterpriseModernAppManagement.
    4. If this Key is missing, the signed-in User is not managed or has not enrolled successfully at least once.

  3. Sync with MaaS360
    1. Click Start.
    2. Search "Access Work or School" and press Enter.
    3. Select Connected to MaaS360 MDM and click the Info button that will appear.
    4. Scroll to the bottom and click Sync.

The MaaS360 agent will automatically reinstall within 4 hours. Allow the process to be completed. The Device should remain powered on and connected to the internet. MaaS360 recommends plugging in portable devices to avoid power loss.
