APAR status

Error description

  • After viosupgrade completion, 3 files are reported with
wrong
permissions & group

# trustchk -R files -n all
trustchk: Verification of attributes failed:
/etc/filesystems
: group mode
trustchk: Verification of attributes failed:
/usr/ios/sbin/viosupg_restore.sh
: mode
trustchk: Verification of attributes failed:
/etc/security/passwd
: group mode

Local fix

  • trustchk -y all

Problem summary

  • After viosupgrade from 3.1 -> 4.1, some files may have the
wrong group and mode (permissions).

Problem conclusion

  • When we save and copy the files to altinst_rootvg, we make sure
to fix the files "group" and "mode" according to the tsd
