How To

Summary

User is trying to delete an object attribute from Sterling Business Center (SBC), which remains in pending deletion status.

Objective

The purpose of this article is to help delete an object attribute from SBC which remains in pending deletion status.

Steps

  1. Login to SBC > click on the System Setup > Customizations > Object Extensibility. Under extensible objects > Sales Order > Custom Header Attributes > Select object.
  2. If an attribute is in Draft status, user can successfully delete it from SBC.
  3. If an attribute is in Active status, user can delete an object attribute from SBC, which goes into "Pending Deletion" status. User may observe the INACTIVE status in yfs_entity_custom_attribute table.
  4. In order to remove these attributes with pending deletion status, user need to configure an Out of the Box (OOB) agent YSCRecycleEntityAttributeAgent. (To configure the YSCRecycleEntityAttributeAgent, kindly refer to the documentation link mentioned in related information.)
  5. The YSCRecycleEntityAttributeAgent fetches all the "INACTIVE" attributes for a given entity and document type of an enterprise and marks them as "DELETED".
  6.  On running YSCRecycleEntityAttributeAgent it will only pick the record with status INACTIVE and change its status to DELETED in yfs_entity_custom_attribute table which results in successful deletion of attribute in SBC.
