USERS AFFECTED:
All users of IBM Integration Bus V10.1, App Connect Enterprise
V11 or App Connect Enterprise V12 running on AIX or Linux and
who use 'uniqueidentifier' columns in an SQL Server database
that is accessed via ODBC.


Platforms affected:
AIX, Linux on Power platform, Linux on x86-64 platform, Linux on
zSeries platform

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
When attempting to access a 'uniqueidentifier' column in an SQL
Server database via ODBC the following error is reported
[IBM][ODBC SQL Server Wire Protocol driver]Unique Identifier
length has to be 36 but it is given 72. Error in parameter .

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • A updated SQL Server ODBC driver has been included in App
Connect Enterprise and IBM Integration Bus that resolves the
problem.
