SE81076: RDI 9.8.0.1 KERBEROS SINGLESIGNON CONNECTION ATTEMPT FAILS WITH INTERNAL ERROR

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• After updating Rational Developer for i (RDI) 9.8 to 9.8.0.1,
  attempts to connect to an IBM i using a Kerberos SingleSignOn
  authentication method fail with an internal error mentioning
  AS400.setGSSManager.
  

Local fix

• A workaround is to use RDI at version 9.8.0.0 and not apply the
  update to 9.8.0.1 until a fix for this becomes available.
  
  Another possible workaround is to manually update the JTOpen jar
  file at
  <your-RDI-install-path>\\plugins\com.ibm.etools.iseries.toolbox_
  9.8.1.202312141238\runtime\jt400.jar to JTOpen version 20.0.2
  (or possibly newer).
   CAUTION: Newer versions of JTOpen, 20.0.2 to the current latest
  20.0.6 have been found to have issues with an IBM i host with
  setting CHGDDMTCPA PWDRQD(*ENCUSRPWD) and a user profile
  password with length exceeding 10 characters, in which case this
  JTOpen update workaround can not be used.
