Guardium 11.5 low disk space due to MySQL 'undo' files

Troubleshooting

Problem

Guardium 11.5 using MySQL 8.0 where undo log design allows for more undo logs, dynamic log creation, and automatic truncation to be always on. Undo logs should be automatically truncated when there are no active transactions that use them and they exceed the minimum size for automatic truncation. However, in some cases, the level of activity on the appliance can cause all logs to fill up without automatic truncation taking place.
undo log files size can be identified by using the following command:
support show large 1000 0
Unlike older Guardium versions (11.4 and before) that using MySQL 5.7, which has only two undo log files, in Guardium 11.5 there are five:
/var/IBM/Guardium/data/mysql/undo_001: 53G
/var/IBM/Guardium/data/mysql/undo_002: 54G
/var/IBM/Guardium/data/mysql/undo_003.ibu: 54G
/var/IBM/Guardium/data/mysql/undo_004.ibu: 54G
/var/IBM/Guardium/data/mysql/undo_005.ibu: 54G
As in a case of a low disk space due to large undo logs before Guardium 11.5 version, submit a case to the IBM Technical Support and provide the output of command "support must_gather system_db_info".
