How do you install the Cadence Virtuoso Integration for IBM Rational ClearCase 7.1.2.10 or ClearCase 8.0.0.6?
Cause
Cadence Virtuoso is now installed as one of the ClearCase components. This is a change from earlier releases.
Answer
Cadence Virtuoso Integration for ClearCase 7.1.2.10 and 8.0.0.6 is now included as one of the ClearCase components using IBM Installation Manager 1.6.2. You can install using the graphical user interface (GUI) or using the silent install methods.
- GUI install example:
- Start IBM Installation Manager.
- Add the ClearCase repository location using menu File-> Preferences.
- Click the Install button within Installation Manager, "IBM Rational ClearCase " will show up as an installable product.
- While selecting the ClearCase components select the Cadence Virtuoso Integration as an installable component.
Note: By selecting Cadence Virtuoso Integration, Install manager (by default) selects the required ClearCase components prerequisite dependency as shown.
- Optional: Select other ClearCase components.
- Start the install process and complete the installation when finished.
- For a silent install, include the component Cadence Virtuoso Integration feature in the Install section of the response file.
