Running a pluglet results in the "UnsupportedClassVersionError" error message

Problem

When you try to run a pluglet with IBM Rational Software Architect, the "Class Name: java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError ..." appears.

Symptom

To reproduce the problem, load and run a pluglet in Rational Software Architect.

The full error message is Class Name: java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError: JVMCFRE003 bad major version; class=Class Name, offset=6, as in the following screenshot:
