Reassurance for Android Enterprise Admin Accounts

Google has clarified that admin accounts associated with Android Enterprise administration are exempt from the inactive Google account policy. This exemption covers current administrator and owner accounts for Managed Google Play enterprises, user Managed Google Play accounts, and accounts set as an owner or admin in the zero-touch portal.

Recommendations

If an admin account used for binding Android Enterprise is deleted due to other Gmail policy violations, your Android Enterprise binding will remain active. However, you will need to contact the MaaS360 support team to modify the associated email for your enterprise. If an Android Enterprise is unbinded in MaaS360 by administrators, all devices will need to be re-enrolled. To avoid this, the MaaS360 support team can work with Google to reassign the enterprise to a different Google account without unbinding it.
