Troubleshooting
Problem
Start-up of Cognos Analytics 11 services, observe following the start of the Dispatcher service observed through the entry 'DPR-SYS-6000 The product is ready to use', during the start sequence.
Start of Cognos services never finishes and does not show the 'Close' button enabled when start Cognos services using IBM Cognos Configuration GUI.
Await for ~5-7 min period delay, observe encounter of stop services issued, starting with 'AnnotationService', 'StopService', 'Success'.
Post shutdown of all Cognos services, observe restarts start of services via Cognos bootstrap service.
Symptom
Start of Cognos services experience stop and restart of services automatically.
Recycle of Cognos services during the start-up sequence of Cognos Analytics 11.
Review of the cogaudit.log file, observe Cognos services start successfully as expected with the messages -
DPR-SYS-6000 The product is ready to use.
CM-SYS-3289 The existing CM Index needs to be re-created.
CM-SYS-3287 Objects indexed: 'X', Duration: 'Y' seconds.
Followed by the message after a 5-7 min period delay -
DPR-SYS-6001 The product is shutting down.
