PI97235: SYMBOL MSCDLEN1 INADVERTENTLY REMOVED FROM DFSMSCD MACRO IN IMS V14. MAY CAUSE ASSEMBLY ERRORS IN CUSTOMER EXITS, ETC

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Symbol MSCDLEN1
  MSCDLEN1 EQU   *-DFSMSCD           LENGTH OF DFSMSCD WITHOUT MSC
  inadvertently removed from DFSMSCD macro in IMS V14.
  DFSMSCD is customer facing, the ommission can cause
  assembly errors in customer code referencing it.
  

Local fix

• Temporarily, customer can add EQU in own code:
  MSCDLEN1 EQU MSCDLLB-DFSMSCD

  In IMS V14, symbol MSCDLEN1 was inadvertently removed from
  DFSMSCD macro.
  This could cause assemble error if customers' exit used it .
  

Problem conclusion

• Updated DFSMSCD macro to add MSCDLEN1 back.
