How do I perform an uninstall of Guardium components on mainframe devices?

How To

Summary

How do I remove Guardium as our DAM monitoring tool on our mainframe for DB2 z/OS and for IMS installations?

Steps

To un-ininstall the DB2 z/OS Guardium product:

Remove the DB2 STAP product data sets from the DB2 started task (STEPLIB), and stop the master task.

At the next db2 restart, the STAP product will be uninstalled. No IPL is required.

To uninstall the IMS z/OS Guardium product, Shutdown the Agent task. This will disable the IMS STAP Product.
Remove the IMS STAP product data sets from the IMS Control region STEPLIB/AUIIMOD DD's. Remove the reference to AUIFLGX0/DFSFLGX0 from the IMS PROCLIB DFSDFxxx LOGWRT EXITDEF statement (If one was specified).
Remove the reference to AUIAOE00 from the IMS PROCLIB DFSDFxxx AOIE EXITDEF statement (if one was specified).
The IMS STAP product will be removed, when the IMS subsystem is restarted without the IMS STAP prduct libraries.
Remove the IMS STAP product data sets from any DLI/DBB JCLs.

There is nothing special regarding the SMP/E work needed to remove the FMIDs/Products from your system.
