Enabling SSL for communications with Microsoft SQL Server databases failed with error IPFTEST-006 Logging failed to connect to Database

Troubleshooting


Problem

SSL encryption enabled" to True in configuration and test the connection; it fails for audit and content store.

Symptom

Test the audit database from Cognos configuration generated the following error message
 "IPFTEST-006 Logging failed to connect to Database:jdbc:sqlserver ://servername:1433;databaseName=cognos_prd_audit;encrypt=true;trustServerCertificate=false"
