Steps
Overview:
MIB is a database of objects that can be used by a network management system to manage and monitor devices on the network. The MIB can be retrieved by a network management system that uses SNMP. The MIB structure determines the scope of management access allowed by a device. By using SNMP, a manager application can issue read or write operations within the scope of the MIB.
Instructions to download Brocade MIB files:
1. Navigate to https://www.ibm.com/support/fixcentral/
Select “Select product” tab
Under “Product Group” dropdown, select “System Storage”
Under “Select from System Storage”, select “Storage area network (SAN)”
Under “Storage area network (SAN)”, select “SAN b-type” for Brocade switches.
If “SAN b-type” is selected:
a. Under “Select from SAN b-type”, select the proper model.
b. Under “Installed Version”, select the proper FOS version.
c. Click the Continue box.
Select “Select product” tab
Under “Product Group” dropdown, select “System Storage”
Under “Select from System Storage”, select “Storage area network (SAN)”
Under “Storage area network (SAN)”, select “SAN b-type” for Brocade switches.
If “SAN b-type” is selected:
a. Under “Select from SAN b-type”, select the proper model.
b. Under “Installed Version”, select the proper FOS version.
c. Click the Continue box.
2. On the page “Select fixes”, select the appropriate fix-pack (FOS version) for your product and select the download method.
3. Log in to IBM with your IBMid account.
If you have trouble with the login, you may need to either create an IBMid or reset your password.
- You will need to create an IBMid if it’s your first time to login this website.
- If you lost your password, trying to reset your password with “Forgot password”.
4. Select Download Options.
5. You must provide the proper information for the FOS entitlement check. Enter your country, IBM Machine Type and Machine Serial Number.
6. Once the Entitlement is successfully confirmed, select the “LinkToBroadcomSWPortal” link.
7. On the “Leaving IBM Web site” page, select “Continue” to be redirected to the Brocade Assist Portal.
8. Enter your company email address to log into the Brocade Assist Portal. (You will need to create a Broadcom account if it’s your first time to login this website.
9. Enter the verification code sent to your email address.
10. Enter your IBM machine serial number and click “Search Serial”, check “My Downloads” for FOS packages.
11. Under the respective FOS package you can find the mibs files - EXAMPLE: v9.1.1c_all_mibs.tar.gz
