APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • The IMS OM component module (AUIOMECM) does not recognize all
syntax variations of the IMS UPDATE command. This only prevents
the command from being audited. It does NOT prevent the UPDATE
command from being processed by IMS.

Local fix

  • NA

Problem summary

  • V11.3-Variations of the syntax of the UPDATE
    command are not captured correctly

Problem conclusion

  • The only supported syntax of the UPDATE command
that the program AUIOMECM accepts is :
    UPDATE object NAME(object_name) option(list)

Support for command UPD needs to be added.
    Support to allow the NAME(object_name)
to follow options needs to be added.
    Example:
    UPD object option(list) NAME(object_name)
