Data Capture Utility wa_pull_info is Throwing Panic Runtime Error

Troubleshooting


Problem

wa_pull_info data capture utility for 10.1GA up to 10.1 FP2 crashes on RHEL 8.
There is still datagather file created after running the data capture utility but it always comes out corrupted.
Error message:

panic: runtime error: invalid memory address or nil pointer dereference

[signal SIGSEGV: segmentation violation code=0x1 addr=0x38 pc=0x4c5842]

Symptom

strace results in following:
