IBM® Power® Draw provides customers with an interactive graphical representation of their Power® Systems.

The product uses the included capture module to collect all the information about the server, PowerVM (VIOS), and partitions from the HMC into a single text capture file. It uses this data to create interactive SVG+JavaScript drawings of the virtualization components and connections. The connections shown include the NPIV, vSCSI, vNIC, SR-IOV and Virtual Ethernet (SEA) between the VIOS and client partitions. The user can choose to include connections for storage, network, vNIC, or ALL connections in the diagram.
Any modern browser can display and interact with these diagrams. Mouseover highlight of connections and detailed popup boxes allow you to easily explore your configuration. It can be useful as the starting point for problem determination, or for evaluation of virtualization best practices. The SVG files can be integrated into browser-based dashboards or used as stand-alone local files viewed by a browser. No web server is required.
IBM® Power® Draw is a multiplatform product that can run on IBM i, AIX, Linux, or Windows platforms. The IBM i integration includes commands for both the data collection and drawing processes to provide the simple user interface that IBM i does best.
The data collection and generated diagrams include client partitions for any operating system supported by Power: IBM i, AIX, and Linux.
IBM® Power® Draw is provided as an annual subscription with tiers based on the number of Power system serial numbers that you can draw.
- Tier 1: 1 to 5 systems (Serial Numbers)
- Tier 2: 6 -20 systems (Serial Numbers)
- Tier 3: More than 20 systems (Serial Numbers)
