IBM Support

QGPL and QUSRSYS are in error

Troubleshooting

Problem

During system upgrade, only SS1 *BASE was upgraded. QGPL and QUSRSYS are in error and the other SS1 options are backlevel.

Symptom

QLPINSTALL joblog logs several CPF2105 messages indicating that QAPMCCC* (such as QAPMCCCNAC, QAPMCCCNAT, QAPMCCCNDF) objects were not found. Followed by CPFA0A9 messages indicating objects in the /qibm/proddata/os400/collection Services directory were not found.

Cause

Unfortunately, these messages all seem to be noise and not reveal the true error.
OEM security program that manages security and exit programs (Precisely Enforcive Security) causes the upgrade to fail.

Resolving The Problem

OEM security program has to be turned off temporarily and after the installation completes, turn it on again.
