LI80616: UNABLE TO LOGIN TO PORTAL USING A NEW CREATED 'NO PERMISSIONS' ROLE.

Error description

  • Steps to recreate:

1. Go to cloud manager -> Setting -> Role Defaults
2. Add a new role called Org-Viewer with no permissions.
3. Create a new catalog and portal in APIM
4. Create a new consumer organization owner for that catalog
5. Login to the portal using newly created consumer org owner
6. Go to My Organization -> invite new member and choose the
role "Org-viewer"
7. Complete the registration form and login

Result: you can not login and the error message "Cannot read
property 'permissions' of undefined" appears.

Problem summary

  • Users with a role that has no permissions are unable to login to
the portal.

Problem conclusion

  • Fix targeted for release in v2018.4.1.6.
