APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • After upgrading CM Webservice to v8.7FP1 on Linux, documents are
not stored correctly in CM if the mtomRef tag is a base64 string
including xml linefeeds ( ). The document is truncated at the
first linefeed character (example 
). It is caused by 3rd
party library Axis2(axiom) update. However, it works on Windows.

Local fix

  • 1.stop WAS server1
2.backup cmwebservice2.aar under
/opt/IBM/WebSphere/AppServer/profiles/AppSrv01/installedApps/**
*Node01Cell/cmwebsvc.ear/CMBSpecificWebService.war/WEB-INF/serv
ices/
3.replace cmwebservice2.aar with the new one (provided by
Development).
4.start WAS server1

Problem summary

  •  Content Manager webServices truncates
base64 encoded stream at first linefeed character when
storing documents on Linux.

Problem conclusion

  •  Fixed in Content Manager Enterprise
Edition version 8.7 fix pack 2.
